One name, many neighbourhoods
“Pattaya” in a headline could mean any of a dozen very different places. The geography shapes the story — here's the map that makes local news legible.

| East Pattaya (Nong Prue etc.) | The inland residential sprawl — where much of the expat-and-family population actually lives |
| Wongamat | The upscale northern beach — resorts and high-end condos |
Why the map matters
- “In Pattaya” is vague: a story on Walking Street and one in East Pattaya describe almost different cities — the district is half the context;
- Development and property news is intensely district-specific — Jomtien's condo boom is a different story from Naklua's local-character debates (economy);
- The two registers (party and family) map loosely onto geography, though they overlap more than outsiders assume (the two Pattayas).
